I've chosen Mary Oliver's "Blue Iris"--have never read any of her poetry before and want to start reading more 20th century work. I find I like American women poets like Emily Dickinson or Elizabeth Bishop so am trying some more recent ones. I'll post about the Mary Oliver book but have also ordered one of Louise Gluck's (A Village Voice) and Adrienne Rich's Diving into the Wreck.
Also, the title poem is online so I can at least post something before the book arrives :)I was interested too because it seems Blue Iris has some of her essays in it as well.
Really looking forward to this journey of discovery.
